Building the Fight for Rent Control

  • Curry Park 500 South 15th Avenue Minneapolis, MN, 55454 United States (map)

Over the past year, the Minneapolis United for Rent Control coalition has built a movement that has put rent control at the center of debate in our city. Our movement has collected thousands of signatures for strong rent control, mobilized to council meetings and community events. With inflation at 8%, working-class people face a real choice between paying sky-rocketing rents with wages that aren’t keeping up with inflation, moving out of their communities, or losing their homes. We must urgently get organized!

Do you have questions about rent control, or questions about how we can win a strong proposal in Minneapolis?

Join us for this family friendly event with games, featuring local artists and community leaders, face painting, sidewalk art, a mural project, and more. Spoken word, DJ and music, in Somali and English. Pizza and Water provided, donations welcome, with all funds going toward building the campaign for strong rent control in Minneapolis!

Hosted by Cedar Riverside Community Council, Minneapolis United for Rent Control, Minnesota Youth Collective
