Hosted by Minnesota Interfaith Power and Light
Join us and make a public stand for climate justice and a livable world! Through song, prayer, meditation, and silence, we will express our collective intentions for a just world free of fossil fuel projects. Meet by noon at the entrance to the Federal Building in downtown Minneapolis.
Afterwards, we'll cross the Stone Arch Bridge to Father Hennepin Bluff Park (a 20-minute journey) for community time together. Lunch from Gandhi Mahal's Curry In A Hurry will be provided (with a free-will offering). Masks required; all activities will be outdoors.
This Minneapolis event is part of a global "Faiths 4 Climate Justice" action to demand world leaders act more boldly on climate justice! Two weeks before the international UN Climate Talks, and following the "People vs. Fossil Fuels" week of action in Washington DC, this is the time to unite in calling for a just transition from fossil fuels.
Be in solidarity with thousands of people and communities of faith and spirituality in 40+ countries — all coming together on October 18 to act!
