Event by Minnesota Humanities Center and Hmong Cultural Center of Minnesota

Immerse yourself within Minnesota’s vibrant Hmong community through an interactive, in-person experience at the iconic HmongTown Marketplace in St. Paul. This place-based event will introduce you to this market of 125 small businesses, including eleven food vendors.

Engage your senses throughout the program. Tour the market and the Hmong Cultural Center Museum’s pop-up exhibit on the history and journey of Hmong people. Enjoy a traditional meal and listen to elder stories and qeej music. Enjoy a special performance by storyteller/artist/activist, Tou Ger Xiong, and learn about Hmong clothing and textiles through a fashion show presented by Bee Vang-Moua. This event will be hosted by Gia Vang from Kare11.
