Justice & Healing for a Wounded Community

  • University of St. Thomas College of Law 1101 Harmon Place Minneapolis, MN, 55403 United States (map)

The murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis in May of 2020 brought into painful focus racial inequities in the Twin Cities that have existed for years. The months that followed Floyd’s death were marked by unrest, criminal proceedings, and many questions about the path forward for our community.

The Initiative on Restorative Justice and Healing (IRJH) will host a wide-ranging and insightful conversation with civic and religious leaders as we look back at the past two years and ahead to the future. Join us as we seek to find justice and healing for our wounded community.

Co-sponsored by the Basilica of St. Mary and the University of St. Thomas Office of Mission, this program is free and open to the public. CLE credit will be applied for.

Speakers include:

Fr. Chris Collins

Commissioner John Harrington

Gaye Adams Massey, Esq.

Rabbi Marcia Zimmerman

Dean Robert Vischer will share a welcome and introduce the panel members. Fr. Daniel Griffith. Founding Director of IRJH will moderate the panel.
