Visit Lake Street/Lake Street Council is proud to launch a new initiative to bring free art drops to support our vibrant Lake Street corridor!

An art drop is when an artist leaves artwork in a public place, like a treasure hunt for the community. Each piece of artwork is free to whoever finds it first and makes local art accessible to anyone willing to go exploring.

Lake Street Art Drop is a free scavenger hunt for local art. The first person to find each piece gets to keep it.

To participate, head to Lake Street in the Uptown neighborhood with your favorite people!
At 6:00 pm, we will start posting photo hints of the hiding places for these art treasures on our stories. Hints are staggered out every 5-10 minutes. Follow the hints to find the art! If you’re the first person to find it, it’s yours to keep. Message us when you find a piece so we know it's been claimed. Plus - post your successful finds and tag us and the artist so we can celebrate with you!

We encourage you to come early or stay after the drop for dinner, drinks, or shopping at a local Lake Street business!

Save the dates for every First Thursday at 6:00 pm from May through September and follow us on Facebook (we may have a couple bonus art drops too!). We'll rotate locations all along the Lake Street corridor!
