4d Affordable Housing Incentive - City of Mpls

The City of Minneapolis is accepting 2023-2024 applications for the 4d Affordable Housing Incentive Program, an effort to preserve Naturally Occurring Affordable Housing in our neighborhoods.

The program provides up to a 40% property tax discount on qualifying units enrolled in the program. The program will also assist property owners with costs related to initiatives to increase their building’s energy efficiency.

The deadline to apply is January 11, 2023, and one-on-one assistance from City staff is available by visiting the City’s 4d Affordable Housing Incentive page or by calling 612-673-5055.

 
Owners of rental housing who enroll units in these 4d programs receive a 40% reduction in property taxes in exchange for agreeing to a 10-year contract that stabilizes rents for the housing units enrolled in the program.
