Organizations from all corners and people from all walks of life are taking steps to repair, heal and strengthen our community. The variety of private and public groups providing resources and people for this purpose will support more far-reaching and impactful outcomes.

Develop leadership and organizing skills
Re-imagine education equity futures and priorities
Black Abolition Organizing School: August 11-14
Black Abolition School will be a space for Black and brown folks to come together who want to change their communities and fight for Black Liberation. Participants will walk away ready to practice community organizing that centers all of our struggles and is set up for the long term.
Neighborhood Board Representation Training for BIPOC participants
We envision neighborhoods & communities where people are organized to IDENTIFY & TACKLE local issues, building vital communities that value full participation and EMBODY racial equity & economic justice. Our mission is to SUPPORT place-based organizations to SUCCESSFULLY take on local issues by developing the skills of COMMUNITY ORGANIZERS & LEADERS.
Youth programs and Sports Free Beginning Summer 2022 at 17 Minneapolis Parks and Facilities
Youth program registration will be free for anyone with a Minneapolis address on their ActiveNet account at the 17 eligible sites . People also have the option to pay for a portion or all of the regular fees if they prefer during checkout.
Grant for MIGIZI
When approached by Estee Lauder, Drummer and Means said they wanted to be sure that this would contribute to their programs and not take away from it like some nation-wide, large grants may do when they ask for a restructure of the organization.
Tuition-free Path to Degrees
This new program will provide eligible Minnesotans with a tuition-free pathway for earning a certificate, diploma, associate’s degree, or bachelor’s degree at any public institution in the state. The grants are available starting spring 2022 through 2024 OR until all funds are dispensed, whichever comes first.
